A Short History.

The Dickies Safety Boots brand began as a bib-overall manufacturer known as the Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company, aka US Overall Company, which was established in 1922 in Texas USA.

Since then, Dickies has grown from a small family-run business to a multinational corporation supplying a large range of workwear including SAFETY BOOTS, SAFETY FOOTWEAR, and CASUAL FOOTWEAR of unsurpassed quality.

The growth of the company started after World War 2
It was able to grow significantly by expanding across the United States after returning to civilian production following the sequestration during the war years, when it produced uniforms for the US armed forces.
This was the era in which Dickies safety boots went global, laying the foundations of the worldwide company we see today.

Later, in the 1970s with the increase of ladies in the labour market, Dickies also expanded into women’s workwear.
