The company which was to become the iconic fashion brand LEE COOPER was founded in London in 1908 by Morris Cooper.

Morris Cooper soon built up a strong reputation for producing durable and long lasting workwear and overalls.

During the two world wars in the 20th century, the Morris Cooper company was entrusted with the manufacture of uniforms and denim fatigues for the British armed forces.

In the 1930’s the company also started to specialise in denim jackets and trousers.

At the end of world war 11, the company started to reinvent jeans as fashion items when a new generation of Coopers took over the factory and the now famous brand name ‘Lee Cooper’ was born.

Within two years, Lee Cooper was at the forefront of bringing what would now be called designer denim jeans to the UK market and has remained a leading player in this sector for the last 75 years with its innovative ideas and association with many leading “A” list  celebrities.

The company licences it’s brand name to many lifestyle categories which include : clothing, fragrance, footwear, headwear, eyewear, luggage and underwear.
